Firstly thank you for your interest today!

Would you like to stay within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty this summer. With a pure night sky?
At Higher Mosserley, we know how special this experience can be. And would love to share this with you.
We can provide a unique, safe and family friendly, stay here on the outskirts of our farm to enable you to have the peace and quiet of an area, free from sound, light and air pollution, internationally recognised at a 'Dark Skies Site'.
The 'Bunding' around our farm provides a habitat for wild-life and many rare birds. When is the last time you saw 'Curlews' descending overhead? The echoes that our 'Tawny Owls' make and the 'Howell' the Foxes call at night, are the most unusual sounds.

We are 2 miles from a 'B' road, not far from the civil parish and small village of Chipping in the Ribble Valley. Chipping has been named one of the 10 ten 'Most Picturesque Villages in Lancashire', when you see it you will know why!
With its cobbled streets, 17th Century architecture, 13th century church, traditional inns and small shops it is surrounded by the dense forest of Bowland. It is also a conservation area with stone-build cottages, schools and alms' houses.

We are the only Camp, Caravan and Store site in a 10 mile area and you can see from our location we are well off the beaten track.
There are restaurants, spas, hotels and wine bars such as 'Fullaloves' nearby in Longridge. As well as many local attractions - The Wild Boar Park, Little Town Dairy and Guys Thatched Hamlet, which we know you will enjoy.

But most of all the clear skies around Beacon Fell Country Park show the view to the Isle of Man on a fine day. The Fell Summit, stands where the beacon stood previously as far back as 1002 AD. It has featured as a warning site for such events as the arrival of the Spanish Armada in 1588 and as a commemorative point for royal coronations and jubilees.
This Sculpture park and woodland trail include many different trees to identify. They also hide a wide range of wildlife. If you are prepared to take the time to search for, Roe deer, hares, rabbits, stoats and weasels, and the odd kingfisher, your patience will be rewarded. There are also many types of dragonflies and damselflies around the ponds, which can be spotted throughout the summer months.
This is a family and dog friendly reserve with cafe and facilities which we know you will enjoy. Check it out @

quite long but worth it.

Higher Mosserley is just a few miles from the M6, M55 and A59, 20 minutes from Preston, 40 minutes from Lancaster. Handy for exploring the Bowland Forest, Lake District, North Yorkshire Dales, Pennines and of course Blackpool!

We are just North of Preston, to get to us you must see the directions on our contacts page, as we are not that easy to reach! Which adds to our seclusion and remote location.

Book a site and come and experience what we have to offer.
We can also offer a caravan/trailer towing service -
MosserleyPro-Tow for those who want to move a unit or purchase a caravan around the North West, speak to Steve for more details.
